Come to see one of the laziest and slow-moving animals of the world – the sloth! The tour take place on a family-owned property, operated by four generations. You can feel the passion and hard work put into this successful touristic project making it a dream come true for a humble and local family.
A paradise for sloth and nature lovers!
A charismatic naturalist guide will help you to spot these adorable wild living animals in their natural environment. He will tell you histories and many facts about them. Did you know… sloths can swim faster than they can move on land?
The slowest mammal is one of the most famous of Costa Rica. No wonder why, its cuteness and always smiling face have us melt just looking at them.
Sometimes hard to spot when they sit high in the treetops, you will be able to watch them clear through a spotting scope to see all the details and take great photos. Sloths come down to the ground once a week and may also hang in lower branches as they do not have many predators in this area.
During the tour, you will have the chance to observe other animals like exotic and colorful birds. Learn more about the beautiful nature the Osa Peninsula offers.
As you finish the forest loop, the other members of this lovely family will serve you fresh fruits and a natural juice before introducing you to the famous ‘Trapiche’, the traditional way to extract the sweet water from the sugar cane.
