Osa Peninsula Full Exploration

Puerto Jiménez – Carate – La Leona – Sirena – Los Patos – Puerto Jiménez
Puerto Jiménez – Los Patos – Sirena – La Leona – Carate – Puerto Jiménez

Offers the longest walking distance for any 3-day tour in Corcovado National Park. The overall distance to travel is approximately 50 kilometers. You will get to three different ranger stations: La Leona, Sirena and Los Patos.

The first day is a 19.5-kilometer hike. La Leona will be the first station to be reached. Hike along the coast where nature has taken over plantations and indigenous artifacts, pass through a secondary forest and smell the sea overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the infinite beauty of the large sandy beach.

The second day will be spent in Sirena station, the furthest station from civilization where the Costa Rican biodiversity is spectacular.

An early awakening is necessary for the last day in Corcovado as a 25-kilometer trek going up and downhill in a primary rainforest will bring you to Los Patos ranger station, the heart of the Osa Peninsula.

An excellent physical condition, prior trekking experience, and good endurance for walking in mountains, heat, and humidity are required.

This itinerary is not recommended for those primarily interested in wildlife.
