Embark on a 4-day overnight adventure in Corcovado National Park, a jungle realm often hailed as the “tiny Amazonia” due to its incredible biodiversity and lush landscapes. This immersive experience takes you deep into one of the most biologically intense places on Earth, where every step reveals the wonders of nature in its purest form.

Keep your eyes peeled for the raw beauty and drama of the untouched wilderness as you’ll walk in the footsteps of famous wildlife filmmakers from Animal Planet and Discovery Channel, who have captured some of their most breathtaking footage right here.

Tackling the longest loop itinerary in Corcovado, pass through three distinct ranger stations (La Leona, Sirena and Los Patos) over 4 days. This route offers the best chances to explore Corcovado’s diverse ecosystems, from coastal zones and mangroves to mountainous primary forests.

Get ready for an adventure that’s not for the faint-hearted, setting out on extensive hikes that challenge both body and spirit as you navigate through natural obstacles. You’ll experience the thrill of walking on and around boulders, timing your steps to avoid the crashing waves and staying dry.

One of the highlights of this expedition is crossing rivers known to be inhabited by crocodiles and bull sharks. With an experienced guide leading the way, learn how to safely traverse these waters, adding a pulse-quickening element to the adventure. Every twist and turn brings the unexpected, whether it’s a sloth sighting, a tapir crossing your path, or a troop of monkeys swinging overhead.

The experience of sleeping at Sirena Biological Station, surrounded by the symphony of nocturnal rainforest creatures, is unforgettable. Under a canopy of stars, you’ll hear the distant roar of howler monkeys, the croaking of frogs, and the myriad other sounds that define the jungle night. This is the time to reflect on the day’s adventures, share stories with adventurer folks from around the World, and prepare for the next day’s journey.

As the sun rises, the jungle bursts into life. Each day of discovery awaits, with journeys through Sirena’s easy trails offering prime opportunities to spot rare birds, reptiles, and mammals in their natural habitat. Every step reveals new sights, sounds, perspectives, and encounters. From spotting the vibrant scarlet macaw to uncovering hidden streams, these hikes promise surprises at every turn, with the thrill of sudden wildlife encounters keeping your senses sharp.

The trail between Sirena and Los Patos Ranger Station is where the forest truly thickens, and the sense of adventure reaches new heights. This trail spans the Osa Peninsula from east to west, crossing rivers and navigating more challenging terrain than the other three days. The sheer immensity of the trees in the primary rainforest is awe-inspiring. Be sure to ask your guide to take a detour of a few kilometers along a lush trail to reach a secluded waterfall in the heart of the jungle, perfect for a refreshing dip in its swimming hole.

Join us on this 4-day immersion in Corcovado National Park – a journey that promises thrill, beauty, and the ultimate connection with nature. This is your chance to connect with nature, challenge yourself, and witness the incredible diversity of Costa Rica’s premier wilderness destination.
